Just found this great site as of yesterday,I came across this great find and was trying to get some history on these guitars.. I call her "Sandy". Dont know much detail on the model other than the guy whom I bought it from ($250)Canadian told me it was from 1972, based on the serial number. Has some great history behind it, purchased from a great liitle beach town called Sandbanks..hence the name "Sandy". Looks pretty close to the Gibson ES 335, and has a great little extra feature called a Varitone Chicken Head switch control, its an extra 5-way switch, besides the usual tone/volume controls.Not sure if its original or not?? Information on Model would definetley help!!! She is in outstanding condition.

The models with the chicken head varitone are actually copies of the ES345. The varitone is a neat feature.
Not sure about the dating based on a serial number... you don't normally see any serial numbers on the electrics, and they don't tend to mean anything since no paperwork exists from the importer.
