EL DEGAS GL 36N

Post by amzngsam »

Hey everyone, just picked up (cannot upload pic)
EL DEGAS GL 36N
Was hoping to get some further information on it; woods used, year etc..

It’s in immaculate condition (after a clean, and setup).

GL- models are copies of Guild acoustics. I may be able to tell you more after seeing photos of the guitar.
I started ElDegas.com many years ago to help celebrate and inform about El Degas instruments. It all started with a used Ric 4000 bass copy I bought in circa 2000.

El Degas stable as of 03/2022: 42  (13 bass, 26 electric, 3 acoustic)

I don't know how to add pictures to the thread but it looks exactly like a D-55

Upload your photos to imgur.com or photobucket.com (or another image sharing site)
Post IMG tags to your post (I can likely edit your post to fix the links if you have trouble with them, as long as you post the image URLs)

Your guitar ought to use similar woods - likely a spruce top and rosewood sides & back as per the guitar it replicates.

I'm terrible with technology. it looks exactly like that guild -
El Degas GL 36N inspected by G. Yamada, made in japan.
serial number is ##70161.
my uncle gave it to me to sell. it's in mint condition. I'm assuming it's got a solid spruce top, looks like jacaranda back and sides. but unsure.
