I have one identical to this, although the gold finish is a little more worn. Nowhere does it say MIJ, so I've assumed it was MIK circa late 80's. Not a bad player, nice neck and only $70!

It is indeed a later MIK model. It certainly looks a lot nicer than the MIK Strat copy I had a few years back.
