Hello! After the headstock has broken 3 times, it's time for a new bolt-on neck for my late 70's El Degas Les Paul copy. Any thoughts on where I could get such a neck?
Thanks!
Replacement neck for Les Paul
Re: Replacement neck for Les Paul
I think your best bet might be to find another El Degas and pilfer the neck from it.
I started ElDegas.com many years ago to help celebrate and inform about El Degas instruments. It all started with a used Ric 4000 bass copy I bought in circa 2000.
El Degas stable as of 03/2022: 42 (13 bass, 26 electric, 3 acoustic)

Re: Replacement neck for Les Paul
The more salient question is...why has the neck been broken not once but three times?!
A neck does not break on its own, it has to have suffered from an impact shock.
Yes, the Les Paul head stock design is prone to breakage if mishandled, so I seriously suggest that you examine what you are doing to cause it to break.
With respect, I would be more concerned about correcting that behaviour before looking to replace the neck, because it will likely happen again.
