strange el degas les paul

Post by G-bo »

Hi folks,
I have a chance to trade my quilted top washburn w/seymour duncan pickups for an el degas les paul.
It's a bit of an oddity tho cause the headstock does not have the usual gibson symbol, instead below the el degas name it
says Lets play music. On the back of the neck it says made in korea.
I gather the ones made in Japan are better guitars, just wondering if anyone might be familiar with these ones.thanks.

The set neck MIK models are ok (I own one), but note that in my experience I've found that they do have plywood bodies.
I started ElDegas.com many years ago to help celebrate and inform about El Degas instruments. It all started with a used Ric 4000 bass copy I bought in circa 2000.

El Degas stable as of 03/2022: 42  (13 bass, 26 electric, 3 acoustic)
